Our mentors got together for a conversation on managing professional boundaries, as part of a monthly breakfast series in the program. On top of a new cohort of mentors, we’ve also signed up our 240th young adult into the program this month.
The Mentoring 2 Work team welcomes our 12 newest mentors to the program! New mentors completed their orientation and introduction to mentoring young adults at the State Library of WA. Next up our newest mentors will be paired and begin to develop a career pathway with their young adult mentees’.
M2W got their mentors and young adults together for a social function this week featuring some fast paced networking over a round of pool. For some participants in the program, this was their first time meeting others in the program and learning from their experiences.
On the Simpson’s couch with our program coordinator, Sara, the four young adults pictured are all starting a new journey…One has started an internship;One has started study;and two are now working! We wish them all the best on their journey from the M2W team.
